EV charging installation for a staff car park

Objectives:
The project involved installing six dual charging pedestals in the staff car park at a food processing factory. This required running a new power supply from the mains switch room to the car park, as well as installing cable containment, concrete bases, and the charging pedestals themselves.

Challenges:
The main challenge was operating within a busy car park area where parking spaces are limited. Any disruption could significantly impact staff access and daily operations.

Process:
To minimise disruption, the work was scheduled and carried out over weekends when the car park was less busy. The team installed the new power supply from the mains switch room, laid cable containment, constructed concrete bases, and positioned the charging pedestals to ensure a safe and efficient setup.

Outcome:
The installation was completed successfully without interfering with weekday operations. Staff now have access to six dual charging pedestals, providing convenient and sustainable charging options for electric vehicles.
